Children’s Church

Nursery 

Mount pleasant Baptist Church has a nursery available during Sunday school and morning worship. Children newborn – 3 years old will be cared for and nurtured by our members. To become a nursery volunteer click Here.

 
 
 
AWANA Ministry
From September through May, our AWANA Club meets on Wednesday from at 6:00 – 7:45 pm. AWANA is a Bible based club for preschool through sixth grade. The goal of our AWANA Club is to “reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ, and train them to serve Him.”
 
AWANA also provides an excellent outreach tool in our community and a place for volunteering and service for older teens and adults. We also provide a meal for anyone who comes on Wednesday’s. For more information on our AWANA program contact Amy Brown at (662) 255-4656. 
 
 
Refuge (Youth) Ministry
Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Youth meets on Wednesday night throughout the school year from 6:00 pm – 7:45 pm.  following the same schedule as our AWANA program. This ministry is for students 7th-college.  Refuge meets weekly for Bible study, and at various datets for mission outreach projects.
 
Refuge will also attend a mission trip during the summer months, the 2026 mission trip will take place in Eutaw, AL. Refuge will also volunteer during our Kids Camps and events like VBS, AWANA & other events throughout the year.  For more information on Refuge or how you can volunteer more with this group please contact Bro. Brotherhood Breakfast
Brotherhood Breakfast begins at 7:00 am on the first Sunday of every month. A meal will be provided along with a devotion from area pastors and community leaders. For more information contact Neal George at (662) 678-3802.
Love on Wheels
Love on Wheels is a ministry specifically catered to our shut ins and elderly of the community and church. The members come at 8:00 a.m. on the fourth Sunday of each month to help prepare and deliver meals to these shut – ins of the community. Ladies Circle
On the second Monday of each month, the ladies meet in the kitchen to share a meal and have a devotion led by a guest or member of MPBC. Men’s Work Ministry
Groups of men at MPBC meet regularly to meet the physical needs of those who need assistance. From replacing lights to building porches, they work tirelessly and can always use more volunteers.
Senior Adult Ministry
Mount Pleasant places a major emphasis upon our senior adult ministries. Activities and outings happen each month,as well as overnight trips to various events including the Celebrator’s Conference in Pigeon Forge & visiting the Amish community in Lawrenceburg, TN throughout the year.
