Welcome

What is Mount Pleasant Baptist Church? Mount Pleasant Baptist church is a missionary Baptist church affiliated with the Missionary Baptist Association of America, and is located at 1822 Mount Pleasant Road Fulton, MS 38843. Organized in the 1840’s, Mount Pleasant is one of the oldest churches in Itawamba County.  Our purpose is to magnify Jesus Christ in our worship and our lives; to edify believers by teaching and preaching God’s Word; and to make Jesus Christ known to our community and the world through personal evangelism. community outreach, and support of missions. We believe what God’s Word teaches that salvation comes  by God’s grace through our faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9)

When do you meet?
Service times at MPBC are as follows:
Sunday– Sunday School (9:00 am); Morning Worship (10:00 am);  Evening Worship (6:00 pm)
Wednesday- AWANA (6:00 pm); MPBC Youth Bible Study (6:00 pm) Meals are included with both.

What about my kids?
We at MPBC place a high priority on families. Thus, our church is geared towards equipping you and your children in Christ. Nursery is provided at every meeting of the church, along with Children’s Church during worship on Sunday morning (Pre-K through first grade), AWANA (K-6th) on Wednesday nights, and Youth Bible Study (7th-College) on Wednesday nights as well. We believe God blesses MPBC with families and we want to be a blessing in return!
Is there something for me?
Yes, you are part of our target group, because we want to reach everyone!  Mt Pleasant is blessed with a multi-generational membership. Not only are all ages represented here, but we seek to minister to each of them with ministries and activities scheduled often. We still do Sunday School at 9 am, with classes for all ages.  The Ladies of the church meet on the second Monday of each month (6 pm) for Ladies Circle.  The Men meet the first Sunday at 7 am for Brotherhood Breakfast.

Where should I go when I arrive?
Upon arrival at Mount Pleasant please enter in through the front door of the sanctuary. Upon entering a designated greeter will welcome you with information about the church. If you come with your children and/or youth, others will be on scene to escort them to their specific classes if need be. If you have any questions about MPBC, your greeter and/or pastoral staff will be there to provide answers.

What should I expect?
MPBC is a family. As such, upon arrival we will strive to treat you with the same love and respect that all of our members experience. No formal dress is required.   Our great hope and prayer is that you not only find us to be loving, but that you experience the forgiveness and grace that can only be found by faith in Jesus Christ.  Come worship with us.
